The Shaktool has no appearances outside of a single chamber in Super Metroid. The Shaktool helps Samus get the Spring Ball by swinging its arms with mounted excavating gears in order to break through a tunnel of impenetrable hardened sand. Triforce pieces could be scattered in the depths of Norfair, the Morph Ball could be locked in a dungeon guarded by a boss, and even your wooden sword could be trapped in a Chozo statue somewhere. Shaktool, also known as DORI and CA15, is a robot located in Maridia.
However, there are countless ways you may need to accomplish these tasks. To complete them, you must collect all eight Triforce pieces, find Kraid and Ridley’s statue totems, defeat Mother Brain and finally defeat Ganon. In addition, equipment and items from each game are shuffled across both worlds, creating a unique challenge where you aren't just completing one game and then the other, but one where you will have to transition between them several times in order to finish both. The randomizer combines the two classics into a unified gaming experience, which allows gameplay to seamlessly switch from one game to the other via special portals added to each game.
